    1. Information We Collect

    When you visit Frankly without creating an account, we automatically create an anonymous session so that basic features (such as running a limited number of analyses) work immediately. For these free / unregistered sessions, we collect a temporary identifier, your search queries, and basic usage data. When you create a registered account, we also collect your email address, name, and optionally your company name. When you use Frankly, we store your search queries, analysis results, saved insights, and notification preferences.

    2. How We Use Your Information

    We use your information to provide and improve the Frankly service, including:

    • Running analyses and generating insights from public Reddit data
    • Storing your search history and saved insights
    • Sending system emails (security alerts, password resets) to registered users
    • Sending optional monitoring and digest emails to registered users based on their preferences
    • Improving our analysis algorithms and user experience
    • Identifying and limiting abuse of free / unregistered usage

    3. Data Sources

    Frankly analyses publicly available Reddit conversations. We do not access private messages, private subreddits, or any data requiring authentication to view on Reddit.

    4. Data Sharing

    We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

    • AI service providers to process your analysis requests
    • Email delivery services to send notifications you've opted into
    • Your team members, for content you explicitly share to a team workspace

    5. Data Retention

    Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Anonymous / free session data may be retained for a limited period and is subject to periodic cleanup. You can delete individual saved insights, search history entries, and watched topics at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us.

    6. Your Rights

    You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage notification preferences in Settings. For data requests, contact us at the email below.

    We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
