It's basically a teensyville with 4-5 players (at the Fringe, usually a combination of NRB folks who are in Edinburgh and miscellaneous comics; at Demon's Wake next weekend I imagine it'll be NRB, streamers and people from The Traitors who are attending). They pre-set combinations of characters and show the audience everyone's role, and it usually lasts 1-2 nights, so they get through a few games in the hour. In my experience, it's pretty fun but it's not really much like Clocktower - it's more like Clocktower-themed entertainment powered by the fact that the people involved are interesting/funny and Jon's purple suit. Having seen it (and the Werewolf version) a couple of times, I haven't felt the need to get tickets for any of the Demon's Wake shows this year, for whatever that's worth.

Here's a picture of Phil Wang for the thread! I also absolutely loved Phil's set and he had me reeled in the entire time. Also, I said a quick Hello to Phil Ellis while I was walking down the stairs and he was walking up when I was checking to see if I was in the right place for the show. \*edit\* I also just want to say, all my pictures were taken either during the walk-on or just before the walk-off for the performer, I definitely did not have my camera out while they were doing the actual performance.

It's busy and expensive, we can't all be at the fringe

I wish I could attend since Holmes and Lovecraft are always an interesting combination, but I'm far from Edinburgh. You've got a dashing Holmes there. :-) And playing where Conan Doyle has studied is a great homage. Wishing you the best of luck and lots of fun!

She starts her piece with a massive factual error "There are 3,649 shows at the fringe this year, but how many embody its spirit of radical experimentation?" There are actually 4291 which a 2 second look at the Fringe website would show.

All comedy, my personal favourites. Sean Morley - Backchannel was my favourite thing. I can't think of a show more perfectly suited to my personal preferences but I would highly recommend this to absolutely everyone. The John Robertson / Paul Currie back to back shows at the Patterhouse. Improvised madness from 2 of the best to do it. Totally separate shows but you're there anyway, do both. John-Luke Roberts - What I talk about when I run around talking ath Monkey Barrell 4. Incredible new material from IMO the best living standup, possibly best ever. Alexander Bennet - All It takes. Great material, great songs. Fantastic presentation and experience. A nice magic trick. It's the message behind it all that's the most interesting if you're into that kind of thing but the sheer effort put into this alone makes it worth your time.
